The much-anticipated matchup of top-ranked Petersburg and No. 2 Highland Springs – in the DigitalSports Top 10 – will not happen.
First, the contest was set for Highland Springs Saturday, January 30. But the huge snowstorm scrapped that plan.
Then it was moved to Monday, February 8, but a weekend snowstorm took Henrico County students out of school on Monday, leaving Highland Springs with no more dates available.
The Springers also had to cancel their matchup with fifth-ranked Meadowbrook to get all of their required district contests in this week.
